Summer brings bounty. But many people on Mount Desert Island and in neighboring towns and islands face food insecurity in the summer and all year around. Open Table MDI aims to help feed people with healthy food and, even more importantly, offers a sense of community.
By donating to Open Table MDI now, you can help provide for your neighbors without enough to eat.

In 2022, Open Table MDI served nearly 20,000 meals at our Tuesday supper

We delivered over 15,000 additional meals through The Good Food Box, as part of the MDI Food Access Project.

Demand for our programs has increased dramatically in the past few years. The number of people we serve has almost tripled since 2020.

In responding to community demand, we have stretched our capacity and need more funding and more volunteers.
Our success comes with growing costs. We are not only serving more families, food itself is more expensive. To keep helping our neighbors, we must raise $24,000 every month, most of which goes directly to buying food.
As of May 1, the MDI Food Access Project’s Good Food Box is on hiatus until fall 2023. We simply need more help to keep this crucial program going.
