Our Programs

The goal of our work is to bring people together, through the sharing of a meal. Whether our guests are hungry for food or hungry for community, we hope our work will continue to be a model for neighborly caring for decades to come. We believe in vibrant food systems that are relational, ecological, and accessible to all.
Since 2018, Open Table MDI has served close to 100,000 meals to our local community members.

BAR HARBOR COMMUNITY SUPPER

COTTAGE ST. RAMEN

Established in Summer 2023, the Cottage St. Ramen menu offers an array of enticing ramen variations, each crafted with care – by Chef Isaac Steiner – using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Located at 116 Cottage Street in Bar Harbor. Open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Open Garden MDI

Open Table MDI is partnered with the Bar Harbor Garden Club, the Onion Foundation, and College of the Atlantic to develop a 2,100 square foot organic garden, which produced vegetables and herbs for our Bar Harbor Community Supper and the MDI Food Access Project. This garden produced roughly 2,000 pounds of produce during the 2022 growing season.
