Minot has been summering on Mount Desert Island for the last 40 years. He and his wife, Lindsay Hopkins-Weld, divide their time between Northeast Harbor and Scarborough, Maine. Minot currently works in project finance, securing funding for workforce housing development and environmental restoration projects. Previously he worked in commercial real estate. He is a LEED-accredited professional and holds certificates in Natural Step sustainability counseling and Permaculture Design. He holds a Masters in Applied Economics from Cornell University. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Maine Sierra Club and sat for a few years on the Northeast Harbor Economic Development Council. Minot and Lindsay have 3 grown sons and 2 demanding terriers.
